Paintings

I am not a painter but merely one who treats 2 dimensional works like I’m working on a sculpture.  Like sculpting I usually start with a subject I want to represent based on an idea or emotion. Like sculpting I continually manipulate my materials to allow the inner form of the work to reveal itself.  Sometimes the finished product is exactly what I pictured in my mind, other times it morphs into something completely different. Regardless of the outcome I appreciate both the process of creation and the act of discovery while working on my paintings.
